CONTACT LISA

"Music can, without words, evoke laughter, tears, and our highest aspirations."  J. Swan

After playing my harp at over 500 ceremonies or receptions, I consider myself a wedding music specialist.   I strongly believe that each event is unique and personal whether outdoors in nature or in a church. I enjoy guiding each couple in choosing their own musical selections that will create the ambiance they desire.

In addition to the traditional wedding music favorites, musical styles range from Renaissance and Baroque, light Classical, World Folk, Pop standards, New Age, and, of course, Celtic which is my favorite.

Ceremony Music for your Wedding
I provide a consultation session for the couple to listen and choose pieces for different parts of the ceremony.  While there can be many variations on a traditional wedding, typically the format includes:

Prelude:
20-30 minutes of background music which sets the mood of the ceremony. Some couples prefer one particular style of music while others like a mix of genres allowing all their guests to hear something they like.

Processional:
  •  Parents and Grandparents seating
  •  Officiate and Groom entrance
  •  Bridal Party entrance
  •  Bride’s entrance

Ceremony:
Candle lighting, rose exchange, pause of remembrance or intention.

Recessional:
The bride and groom walk back up the aisle with the bridal party and family following.

Postlude:
A few more celebratory selections as the guests leave the venue.

Wedding Receptions
Wedding couples often request that after the ceremony the music continues for a cocktail hour or for the dinner background music. Some weddings include music only for these occasions after a ceremony. Any of these situations are possible and add to the elegance of the day.

Please call me so we can chat about your special day. I will help you make it everything you dream it to be.
